Neil Druckmann, co-president of Naughty Dog and director of The Last of Us Part II, has announced that the studio is working on several new and exciting projects.

In response to many fans tweeting Druckmann for any Naughty Dog news or developments, the co-president took to Twitter to share that the critically acclaimed studio is working on several cool things but asks fans to be patient. “If you tweet at me, asking about a future project, I can’t say anything….Please be patient. We have several cool things we can’t wait to share with you. As soon as we can, we will!"

Back in January, Naughty Dog teased that it is working on a new game. The tease came from Druckmann, who shared a list of new job positions available at the company. “Come work with us! We’re making something very cool”, he tweeted.

The jobs list was relatively extensive (35 availabilities) and ranged from; Animation, Art, Editorial, Game Design, IT/ Dev ops, Production, Programming, Quality Assurance and UI. However, it’s easy to assume that this new project is not the standalone The Last of Us Part II multiplayer, which may disappoint fans.  One particular listing is for a Level/Environmental Designer (single-player).

In a recent tweet, Naughty Dog released a statement that states “you will eventually experience the fruits of our team’s online ambition, but not as part of The Last of Us Part II.” For now, these announcements remain a mystery to the public.

The studio is also involved in several cinematic projects, such as the HBO TV adaptation of The Last of Us, where Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey were recently announced to star as Joel and Ellie. The movie adaptation of Uncharted - another Naughty Dog classic - is set to premiere in cinemas by February 2022. The film stars Tom Holland as a younger Drake and follows his journey in befriending Victor Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg).
