Ubisoft has brought back the first four Anno titles in the franchise for an update and is releasing them at the end of June. Anno 1602, 1503, 1701 and 1404 will be present together with all its DLC packages. The update serves mainly to make sure the four titles take full advantage of the current day PCs while fully keeping the classic gameplay as it is. Ubisoft mentioned these more notable improvements;

  • Graphics: your cities will look better than ever, thanks to resolutions all the way up to 4K.
  • Multiplayer features: updated and expanded multiplayer functionality including Matchmaking.
  • Save Compatibility: you will be able to enjoy all improvements while continuing your existing game.
  • Other features: borderless window mode, multi-screen support.
  • Bonus content: the Anno History Collection will also offer Bonus content including soundtracks and wallpapers, as well as company logos and an ornament for Anno 1800.

If you are wondering if the games will be available through Steam as well, we have bad news; in the comments, someone asked the aforementioned question and got a response from the developer, saying that "There are no plans for that, sorry." It seems like Anno 1404's History Edition will be the only one available through Steam.
