The Last of Us Part II footage leaks online showing massive spoilers

Footage from the much-anticipated sequel got leaked online on Monday. Rumours were making the rounds that an unpaid employee from Naughty Dog was the behind the leak. Later news debunked this, however, but that doesn't change the fact that footage is still out there to be found. Be careful on social media! You can find some useful tips here to avoid as many spoilers as possible.

The Last of Us Part II and Ghost of Tsushima received a new release date

After an indefinite delay and a leak, The Last of Us Part II has received a new release date and is now officially set to release on June 19. Ghost of Tsushima originally had its release set for June 26 but has been moved to July 16 instead due to the COVID-19 pandemic

Destroy All Humans! is making its comeback on July 28

12 years after its last release in the series, Destroy All Humans! is back with a release on the current generation consoles and PC. This remake is not complete without a set of collector's editions, of course. More information about those and where to pre-order them can be found right here.

May's PlayStation Plus games have been announced... And disappoint many people

After a great month for PlayStation gamers, it seems Sony wanted to calm down. The month of May goes accompanied by Cities: Skylines and Farming Simulator 2019. While these games aren't particularly bad in its own right, a lot of players are very disappointed in the line-up, especially with a previous leak sharing a potential bonkers line-up consisting of Dark Souls Remastered and Dying Light. Sadly enough, that is not the case and we will have to make do with what we get.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla revealed with a trailer and collector's editions

Ubisoft has announced the newest title in the Assassin's Creed franchise, sharing a trailer and the Collector's Edition. Ubisoft didn't share a ton of details yet, but the awesome people over at Eurogamer have a lot more information about the upcoming Assassin's Creed.

Codemasters shows first footage of F1 2020

For its upcoming title F1 2020, Codemasters shared some footage for the first time, showing off a gameplay video in which Max Verstappen's Red Bull Racing car is driving around on Circuit Zandvoort. Star Wars: Battlefront II has received its last content update, as Dice moves its focus to the new Battlefield set to release in 2021

With two years of content updates, Battlefront II has reached a point where Dice feels that "their vision is complete". While the game will receive casual updates, content updates will be no more as the studio shifts its focus onto a new Battlefield, with the newest game set for a release in 2021. No details were shared about the upcoming title, other than EA teasing that it is "targeting new innovation that will be enabled by next-gen platforms."

Geoff Keighley announces Summer Game Fest

Four months long and all digital: Summer Game Fest will be a celebration of anything video games. Not a lot of details are known at this point but a lot of big studios are confirmed to be joining the event. 2K, Activision, Bandai Namco, Bethesda, Blizzard, Bungie, CD Projekt Red, Digital Extremes, EA, Microsoft, Sony, Square Enix, Private Division, Riot Games, Steam, and Warner Bros. are the current confirmations for the upcoming Game Fest. Expect announcements, in-game events and free playable content.

May 2nd

The usual Nintendo Direct in June will not be held this year

As with most companies right now, Nintendo too got hit with the COVID-19 rules all around the globe. Due to work-from-home complications, the annual event will not be held at its usual time but most likely will be pushed back to some time late in the summer, closer to the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. which is said to be a big focus during the event, with an abundance of Mario games being remade or remastered for Nintendo Switch. One thing is for sure... We can't wait to add those games to our Nintendo Switch catalogues!

The Last of Us Part II leak was caused by hackers

After a big leak, Sony went investigating and shared the news that individuals behind the leak were identified and had no affiliation with Sony or Naughty Dog, shooting down a previous rumour that it was caused by a disgruntled Naughty Dog employee who didn't get paid. In a tweet, Jason Schreier confirmed that this rumour was wrongfully shared and mentions to have spoken with people close by the situation. Turns out, hackers are behind the whole situation, as they used an older Naughty Dog game with a security vulnerability to hack into the Naughty Dog servers and thus share the footage online.
