Path of Exile's new league called 'Heist' announced by Grinding Gear Games

Going live on the 18th of September.

As the new league season approaches for free-to-play powerhouse Path of Exile, all eyes turn to Grinding Gear Games for the next instalment of content for the game. Grinding Gear Games has finally revealed that content as Path of Exile: Heist.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Path of Exile is a free-to-play, top-down action RPG with a focus on fine-tuning builds using a myriad of skill gems and passive modifiers. Maximising speed, damage, and efficiency is key whilst you (and your GPU) battle to stay alive against a screen filled with hordes of ever-more deadly enemies. Although the main story remains the same, every 13 weeks a new ‘league’ is released with a host of new skills, items, and mechanics to boot.

So, what is Path of Exile: Heist?

In Heist, you hire and train a team of thieves to help you pull off heists across Wraeclast. gathering new and unique items, bolstering your crew’s experience, and building your strategy to help you pull off the Ultimate Heist. Contracts containing valuable information on new targets can be found all around Wraeclast, and it's up to you to find the right specialist for the job. Heists also include the chance to find replica unique items - familiar items with a twist - allowing for even more gear combos and customisations for your build.
