Quantic Dream opening doors to independency

Detroit: Become Independent.

The French studio, known for creating previous PlayStation exclusives Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human - has posted a blog on their website, announcing their step to self-publish their games from here on out. Specifically, they mention the recent launches of their games on PC as one of their highlights.

The independency brings forth a lot of freedom for the studio concerning decisions and will allow them to "address the technological and strategic opportunities of next-generation platforms", as written by CEOs David Cage & Guillaume de Fondaumière.

It will also allow us to help other developers, by providing investment and development support, so that they can fully express their talents. We want to support creators of original projects and help them, in turn, to achieve their vision and offer quality, ground-breaking experiences.

Their most recent games, Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human were brought to PC last year and are currently only available on the Epic Games Store and are exclusive to their platform for a year.
