On the 10th of November, a user called ‘AbleChimp’ posted to the Microsoft support page reported a bug with the Xbox Series X which caused the console to shut down “5-10 seconds into a game loading”. Now, five days later, over a thousand users are reporting that they are experiencing the same issue, with 67 pages of discussion revealing users’ frustrations as they attempt to come up with a fix for the problem. Many users reported issues loading a huge variety of games, from titles like Fifa 20, Battlefield V and Forza Horizon 4 to Xbox Games Pass bangers like Celeste and Forager.
So far, it seems that these issues have fallen upon deaf ears, with many users turning to Twitter to request that Microsoft resolve the issue:
But there is hope for those of you who may be struggling with this issue! Some users have reported fixes, notably switching on low latency mode for the console, and ensuring that your machine is plugged in correctly, and directly to the wall, not through a splitter or other socket.
