The PlayStation 4 is being sold for $399 since its release in 2013; with the PS5 coming up, should Sony want to avoid selling at a loss, we are currently looking at a realistic price around $450 for the console. Bloomberg also mentions that the price will likely not be decided about for now, as Sony is reportedly awaiting Microsoft's Xbox Series X (price) reveal, which is expected to be unveiled at this year's E3.

Also mentioned in the report, is Sony's plan to release a new version of the PlayStation VR, after the PlayStation 5 goes on sale. No other details were shared.

Earlier this month, Sony launched the official page for the PlayStation 5, giving us notice that they currently are not ready for a full reveal yet. As of the time of writing, we do not have an official report from Sony on the PlayStation 5's price, but we will keep you updated.
